What are the Five Precepts and How to Take it

Introduction

Normally in the sequence of after taking refuge in the Triple Gem, one may choose to take the five precepts as well. Again, before one makes the vow to take the five precepts, one should get acquainted first.

What should one get acquainted with before one makes vow for the five precepts? One should have a basic knowledge of the Buddha Dhamma, and understand the reasons why the five precepts should be taken.
